My first ever blog entry

So after learning dixon (who has filmed a total of 10 waves for this movie) has created this blog i thought i better contribute.

My life behind the lens of one of the worlds most unreliable video cameras has been pretty pure. Besides now not being legally allowed to drive a motor vehicle, ive filmed some good sessions. last few days have been as follows; 5hrs with a towel over my head filming one of the worlds most backlit set ups, daddy Q's, mad mans.

Back to the unreliable camera, a few weeks back i thought it was gone for good and i did consider throwing it off a cliff, but alas its come back to life. Problems with the camera are as follows: Camera sometimes doesnt even turn on, glitches (pixells especially at the starts of a new tape on the left hand side of the picture), have to guess my settings as the display settings no longer appear through the view finder, lcd screen doesnt work, tape deck wont shut so i have to tape it closed, camera somtimes just starts recording randomly.

So this is what im working with but im hoping it will hold out for a little longer as its way beyond the point of repair, i actually would be embarissed to take that thing to sony and when they ask me whats wrong with it mention all the above problems. My plan is to scab as many lifts to the ocean in the next few months as i can and film, and hopefully have a pretty sweet dvd at the end of it.
